March 2025 Exhibit:

Nature Wins

Curated by Ember Avalos & Pamela Ybañez

Long after the humans have gone and the buildings deteriorate, the kudzu will continue to cover every surface. The weeds growing in the cracks of concrete will continue to assist in its decay, returning everything back to the soil. Humans think they can outsmart nature, but nature will always wins.

We will never be greater or smarter than nature, if we have any sense we would simply be in awe. During the pandemic we’ve learned that what we have is each other and the bounty that exists in the wild. This exhibit looks at the existence of our humanity, while accepting our limitations.
